ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Graphic design education serves as a convergence point between communication, art, and design, enhancing aesthetic appeal while facilitating effective communication. At our institution, students are introduced to an artistic perspective that cultivates their ability to perceive and interpret visual stimuli. Throughout their education, they acquire diverse methods and techniques to seamlessly integrate words, symbols, and images, transforming abstract concepts into tangible visual representations.
Our department is dedicated to training designers who thrive in today's dynamic landscape. Equipped with both aesthetic sensibilities and technical proficiency, our graduates possess the creative acumen to navigate contemporary demands across a wide array of mediums. From product logos and packaging designs to web design and corporate identities, our students are prepared to tackle diverse challenges with confidence and innovation. They emerge ready to leave their mark in areas such as posters, interior designs, outdoor advertisements, catalogs, brand positioning, print pictures, and illustrations, contributing to the visual fabric of our modern world.
EDUCATION OPPORTUNITIES
The Graphic Design curriculum is regularly updated to align with the evolving trends and advancements in the design industry. Project-based courses offer students multidirectional preparation and interdisciplinary studies, enriching their design process. Our department employs a jury system, providing students with a platform to showcase their work and receive feedback from department members and guest jurors.
Throughout their academic journey, Graphic Design students are encouraged to participate in various design events organized by the department, including talks, workshops, seminars, and exhibitions. Emphasizing both local design issues and international design awareness, these events broaden students' perspectives and nurture their creativity.
Academic activities take place in studios, classrooms, specialized laboratories, workshops, and technical excursions. Our facilities include PC and Macintosh laboratories equipped with graphic design software and digital drawing pads, allowing students to create digital illustrations and designs. Additionally, our Graphic Printing Workshop enables students to explore traditional printing methods such as woodcut, linocut, and intaglio printing.
Furthermore, our Graphic Design program offers students the flexibility to pursue a second bachelor's degree (double major) or a minor in a different field, providing opportunities for interdisciplinary study and specialization. This versatility allows students to tailor their education to suit their interests and career aspirations.
