ABOUT THE PROGRAM

Energy Systems Engineering is a specialized field of engineering dedicated to the study of energy production systems, resources, modeling, simulation, optimization, analysis, design, energy storage, and efficiency. Integral to this discipline are considerations of legislation, management, and policies within the modern energy sector. Beyond the utilization and management of existing technologies, energy systems engineers are tasked with developing innovative solutions. Hence, the Energy Systems Engineering Program at our institution is designed to cultivate proficient engineers capable of maximizing energy resources efficiently. Our program aims to equip students with the skills to strategize energy production, consumption, and transmission, as well as to comprehend relevant laws and regulations. Furthermore, we foster critical thinking abilities while emphasizing ethical and social principles to guide professional practices. Graduates emerge as adept engineers poised to address the evolving challenges and opportunities within the energy sector.

EDUCATION OPPORTUNITIES

The Energy Systems Engineering Program's curriculum begins with foundational studies in basic sciences during the first year. In the subsequent year, students delve into technical courses that encompass essential tools such as thermodynamics, heat and mass transfer, and reaction kinetics. As students progress into their second year and beyond, the focus shifts towards exploring various energy systems, complemented by hands-on learning experiences in fully-equipped engineering laboratories.

Throughout the third and fourth years, a significant portion of the curriculum emphasizes practical applications, allowing students to integrate theoretical knowledge with real-world scenarios. This practical component is further enriched by participation in training courses, where students gain exposure to ongoing energy research conducted by other institutions.

In culmination of their four-year journey, each student undertakes a graduation project aimed at synthesizing their acquired knowledge and skills. This project serves as an opportunity for students to delve into topics learned throughout their education, applying critical thinking to devise innovative solutions to contemporary energy challenges.
