ABOUT THE PROGRAM
The goal of this program is to train people who can create artificial intelligence tools and procedures, analyze problems, and come up with solutions. These skills are necessary for gathering and interpreting data. Additionally, it seeks to provide students with the knowledge and abilities necessary to choose, use, and assess software systems analysis and development phases while utilizing cutting-edge information industry technology.
In this sense, the goal is to empower students studying Artificial Intelligence Engineering to perform data analysis, identify relevant issues, identify suitable solutions, and put these answers into practice by utilizing the tools that artificial intelligence technologies provide. It seeks to empower children by educating them and practicing the responsible use of artificial intelligence engineering. Additionally, it aims to train engineers who have acquired a research culture concerning the quickly evolving software systems and who can constantly reinvent themselves and contribute to the field of artificial intelligence engineering.
EDUCATION OPPORTUNITIES
Through a curriculum enhanced by computer engineering, information systems engineering, and software engineering program courses, the Artificial Intelligence Engineering Program was created to allow students to acquire multidisciplinary competency.
Students in the last year of the Artificial Intelligence Engineering Program can jumpstart their careers with the real-world experience they receive by participating in an internship. Students at SIU have access to a variety of laboratories that allow them to experience the software or hardware development processes involving artificial intelligence, which serves to reinforce the theoretical knowledge they have learned.
CAREER AREAS
Graduates of the Artificial Intelligence Engineering Program will be eligible to work in any area of the software and robotics industries with the title "Artificial Intelligence Engineer."
Computer software and robotics procedures, which are employed in many businesses nowadays, require intelligence ways. The majority of the sectors in which students will be qualified to work in software development are engineering, banking and finance, education, healthcare, and public administration. Additionally, they will be able to pursue a Master's or Doctorate degree to further their academic careers.
