ABOUT THE PROGRAM

The Environmental Engineering postgraduate program at Sherbrooke International University is designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge necessary to address complex environmental challenges. Our program aims to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of environmental science fundamentals, enabling them to contribute to the enhancement of societal environmental conditions and promote a healthier quality of life. Through laboratory studies and fieldwork, students will develop the expertise to compile databases on pollutants impacting the environment. Additionally, they will engage in activities aimed at comprehending, formulating, and enhancing environmental laws and regulations, as well as establishing standards for both public and private industrial sectors. Graduates of this program are expected to possess the ability to assess environmental issues from economic, legal, social, and sustainability perspectives, and to design and implement projects aimed at resolving environmental problems. EDUCATION OPPORTUNITIES

The Master of Science in Environmental Engineering program at Sherbrooke International University is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in the design, operation, supervision, and construction of engineering structures and systems aimed at environmental restoration and pollution prevention. Over the duration of the program, students engage in a comprehensive curriculum covering key areas such as water and wastewater treatment, water networks, transmission line design, solid waste management, air pollution modeling and control, environmental management and planning, and noise pollution control. Through a combination of theoretical coursework, practical lessons, and hands-on projects conducted in state-of-the-art analysis laboratories, computer rooms, and libraries, students receive a well-rounded education that prepares them for the challenges of the field.
