ABOUT THE PROGRAM

Sherbrooke International University's Communication and Media Studies Doctoral Program is meticulously crafted to empower students to delve deeply into the complex social, cultural, and political dynamics inherent in mass communication. Through a comprehensive curriculum that includes specialized preparatory courses, students embark on a journey culminating in the creation of a thesis that represents a significant and innovative contribution to their chosen field of study.

The overarching goal of our program is to cultivate students who are not only capable of generating original ideas but also adept at effectively communicating these ideas to both their peers and broader academic audiences. Graduates emerge equipped with the skills and insights necessary to critically analyze and engage with contemporary developments and theories across a spectrum of mass communication domains, encompassing film and television, journalism, public relations, advertising, and social media. At Sherbrooke International University, we are dedicated to nurturing the next generation of thought leaders who will shape the discourse surrounding mass communication in the years to come.
